Folder creation issues

Normally you hit F7 and type and it makes the folder of that name. But if you have a filter, eg jpg, then F7 doesn't show the new folder it just appears at the side unfocused, so when you type the name it is not named. You actually have to click to the side to name it (and that enters it so you lose the filter and have to click back and refilter, unless you right-click to rename it). This is inconvenient, unless I've missed a better way.

Can I suggest that in such circumstances F7 either pops up a dialog box for the name so that you can type immediately on pressing F7, and on submitting then creates the folder, or else creates the folder but focuses on it in the side so that your typing is accepted.

Both will work although generally speaking from a psychological point of view I think F7 - popup name entry then create the folder of that name (like FileZilla does) makes much more sense under all circumstances, rather than creating a folder and then renaming the folder.

In addition that popup method would also solve another issue which is that if you have a selection and decide to make a folder to put it in, on creating the folder you lose your selection, whereas a popup dialog for the name and then folder created could create the folder without losing the selection. In voidtools Everything, folders are made without losing the selection which is very nice.

So, two issues there - (1) ease of naming the folder when it isn't in the filter, (2) the creation of folders currently losing selections.
