A scanner interface bug?

This post reports that images scanned using the XnView MP scanner interface report an incorrect DPI value and in turn incorrect image canvas size dimensions.

To test, scan a sheet (such an A4 page) at 300 DPI, save the file produced, and then check whether the scanned image DPI and image dimensions correspond to the size of the sheet scanned.
