Quick Filter broken in 1.9.2

I've been using one flavor of XnView for previewing and culling digital photos for years now. I love XnView and MP - thank you this great tool!

I recently upgraded to 1.9.2 and I'm having an issue with Quick Filter not working like it used to. It used to allow me to use egrep-style searches, with a pipe acting an OR. This is no longer working in 1.9.2.

Let's say I have a folder of JPG images named sequentially, from DSCF1000.JPG to DSCF1999.JPG. I used to be able to use a quick filter search like "DSCF1118|DSCF1113" that would show every single file that matched *DSCF1118* and *DSCF1113*. Now it shows me whatever was used as the last saerch term - *DSCF1113* in this case.

If I searched for "1114|1115|1116|1117" it would show every file that matched *1114*, *1115*, *1116*, and *1117*. Now it shows me whatever was used as the last saerch term - *1117* in this case.

If I use the Search tool and click the checkbox to enable Regular Expressions it works fine. That's not optimal, causing a few extra steps every time.

I looked through the preferences - I don't see any options to enable reg ex searches for the quick filter box.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
