After several instances of deletion of entire folders when trying to delete single images with keyboard, I now have to ask here if this is a known problem after upgrading to the newest version. Never had the problem with older version, but now it has happened way too often. Thank God I noticed before I emptied the recycle bin (!) Or did I? What have I not yet discovered to be missing...
And another thing. After upgrade, entering a folder now with keyboard keys, aka enter and arrow right, now selects file nr 2 in the folder. Earlier it was number 1 of cource, so what happened? Number one would be nice, so pleace check into it and fix in next update if possible.
Love your software guys!
Thanks.

Sorry for the late respons.
1.9.3 64-bit MacOS.

I found of what causes me to delete folders insted of files, and it is quite annoying. Came with the update before the most recent.
The issue is that when I am in a folder and select a file, video in this case, the media player opens. I watch the video and when I return to XnView I am no longer in the folder I was in - but one step back in the root three. And that is impossible to see before disaster strikes.
I never was an issue before, but now the two last versions have this issue. There seems to be no logic or reason why and when it happens, and it is not concistent whatsoever. There can go hours between the incidents and there can go minutes. But it happens a lot.
So to conclude; when I thought I was still in the folder I was a second ago and deletes the file, via keyboard shortcuts of course, I really have been one step back and are deleting the folder and not the file. But on the screen I still se the folder I was in and the file I was about to delete is still marked in blue.

With XnView, you are in browser, select a video file, open it in fullscreen or in a tab? when you stop, the folder is no more the previous one??Bactuz wrote: Wed Aug 27, 2025 9:13 pm The issue is that when I am in a folder and select a file, video in this case, the media player opens.
