I have the "Auto play (video)" option enabled.
However, videos do not start playing automatically when opened in a browser. When I click on a thumbnail in the browser, I just get a black screen.
At the same time, if the video is opened via the "Open with" option in the Explorer context menu, auto-play works. Auto-play also works when scrolling through videos (forward/backward) in the browser.
Is this the case for everyone, or have I configured something incorrectly in the Settings?

I have Windows 11 and the program version after the update is 1.9.4. Unfortunately, the bug is still present in this version. When I am in the browser and the file is already selected, when I click (once) on the video file, nothing happens. Even if I turn on the Preview panel, nothing appears in it after a single click. If I double-click on the video file, a “black screen” opens instead of the video. The only thing that helps is “scrolling” through the video files, which makes everything work.xnview wrote: Sun Oct 12, 2025 1:11 pm With you xnview.ini, if i click on video file i can see it in browser, and double click open the video correctly
At the same time, the newly downloaded version 1.9.4 portable with standard settings works fine for me in the browser. That's why I thought the reason was some combination of settings in my INI. But you write that my INI works fine for you. I don't understand anything. But in any case, thank you for your help. This is not such a serious problem that it is worth spending any more time on it.
