XNView Crashes ..... Alot.

Post by Philbeaux »

Ok, I've used XNView Classic for years and always loved it so I finally decided to give MP a try.
I got to say I do like the extra features but, it seems like it's always crashing.

Do you guys have any ideas on what I could be doing to prevent this?
Running Windows 11 and never had this much trouble with Classic. Seems to happen mostly when clicking on the Thumbnails in the Main Browser window, but it also happens when clicking on folders that contain lots of images. By lots I mean a few hundred.

So are there any troubleshooting steps I can take?

how do you have crashes? You click thumbnail of jpeg files?
XnView MP 1.9.5?
Do you have sent the crash dump via crash dialog?

Clicking on just about anything. JPG, PNG, PDF. Just this morning I was CTRL-Clicking multiple images to delete when it crashed. And yes, I have sent in the crash dialog - when it has appeared. It doesn't always appear. Lately it's just doing the "Not Responding" thing.

Well I just looked at a Thank You reply from for a crash report I sent October 26 I had in my email. XnView MP Crash Report - [4257 - 1.9.5] to be specific.

Seems the same, but it does happen with PDFs - maybe it's because I open PDFs quite frequently with MP.

And lately it's just doing "Not Responding". No form to submit a report.

Ok, an old one, the crash occurs in ghostscript so you have Win 11 25H2? XnView MP 1.9.5? and ghostscript 10.04
could you send us a pdf that crash?
