A quick and possibly stupid question: In the new(ish) Smart Albums function and in its New smart album dialog, what do the Filename and Folder fields do?
Edit: Ah! I see what the "Folder" field does (limits the search to a particular folder (and its subfolders if the corresponding box is checked)), but that leaves the Filename field...
Thanks in advance!
Smart Albums: Filename and Folder fields
Re: Smart Albums: Filename and Folder fields

It is no different than when you are doing a search. The filename field (and the folder) limits the search. If you put A* in the filename field, you will only get files (that also match other criteria in the search box) whose names start with A. Normally for a Smart Album you would not want this. To just match on the criteria you enter in the bottom of the search box, leave the filename and folder fields blank, and the entire catalog will be searched for matching files.
Also see my post here: viewtopic.php?t=49948 that describes the new features for more info about Smart Albums.
It's a saved search. If you know how to use Search, you know how to use Smart Albums.
