Cut action should display a reaction

Post by MHX »

In other Windows applications if a cut action (Ctrl+X) is performed, the icons of the selected files change its color to a more transparent one. For example in Windows Explorer, but also in all other programs I know (including ACDSee, Office).

In XnViewMP no visual change occurs, so it is not possible to see if one more more files are selected for a cutting operation, it would be nice if XnViewMP would behave in the same manner as other Windows applications.

A visible change in selected icons, for Cut and also for Copy?

Maybe a short blinking of the window for Copy, just to give a notice that the action was taken? For that there is not a standard for Windows applications.
For Cut something will change for the selected files, for Copy they stay the same, so it is not essential. I am not sure about that.

In current version 1.9.8 it is still that no visible reaction occur when pressing Strg+X or Strg+C for Cut/Copy. A short blinking of the window like in ACDSee would be nice (still).

applying transparency to thumbnails/icons (like in win file explorer) is the only correct way to represent cut files in Browser

Yes, this seems the even better solution.
