There is NO WAY TO SAVE an interface after quit. Quit and it reverts to default.
If I select FILE NAME, change background to Black, then change filename to mid blue.
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!
Back to default.
Mac version 1.9.8: No way to save changed interface when quit

I'm not able to reproduce with your .ini, please describe how to reproduce the crash
