Hi, I got a new computer, and the software was updated. I cannot open a c4 file anymore. I keep getting a pop-up message saying" Format of the file could not be determined. For displaying of less common formats, the following option is available: Options>General>{x}Display all image file types.
Can someone please help me. I cannot not open any files in C4 format.

Re: XnView Classic for Version 2.52.2
XnView Classic (including version 2.52.2) supports reading .C4 files, but this support is disabled by default because the format is considered rare/less common. The message you see directly suggests the solution:
To display less common formats, the following option is available: Options > General > Display all image file types
What needs to be done:
Open XnView Classic.
Go to menu: Tools → Options (or press F12).
In the left column, select the General section.
Check the box next to Display all image file types (Depending on the interface language).
Click OK or Apply.
After this, XnView should start recognizing and opening .C4 files without any problems.
Try opening your .C4 file directly by double-clicking it or via File → Open.
If the files are still not displayed in the XnView browser, refresh the view (F5) or restart the program.
It's also useful to check the Associations tab in the same settings and make sure .C4 is associated with XnView (check the box if necessary).
If after enabling this option the files still do not open (another error appears or just a black screen), then there may be rare cases:
the file itself is damaged,
This is not a real .C4 (sometimes extensions get confused)
