Hello,
today I installed the latest version of XnViewMP 1.9.9 on my Windows 10 system.
I opened Tools -> Settings ->Thumbnail -> Overlay icons
The display of the used icons is not correct.
Some are wrong: e.g. "Color profile" shows "GSP"
Some show parts of 2 icons
For details please show the attached screenshot.

Yes you are right, I installed a custom overlay image some versions ago.
Removing this file, all is ok now.
