I'm not sure if it's intended, but the Batch Convert creates duplicate items in the source list if you drag items in more than once, which can happen if you are sourcing items in several bunches using a query.
I would think normally converting duplicates would not be desirable, and creates warnings in the results that you then have to hunt down the cause of. Maybe there are niche cases for this if creating a numeric output or somehow sucking files off as they are created.
Can I suggest that when the output filename doesn't involve the numeric counter that xnviewmp doesn't provide a warning at the end that you have to work out the cause of but maybe states that it removed N duplicates, which it could do either by deduplicating the actual list or keeping a running dictionary as it converts and spotting when a duplicate is encountered.
When using the counter it could popup and ask if you want duplicates removed. Perhaps it could do that anyway as a solution to both.
For popups it's probably best to pre-scan the list so the user can be asked at the start rather than come and find the conversion paused with a popup.
Something at any rate that improves upon the non-handling that currently exists.
Obviously nothing like a critical bug but something for the ideas/todos list, I imagine some simple solution with little coding would be easiest.

Re: Batch Convert : Duplicate Items
Aha yes, so still happening for that old issue, this post does raise some solutions so hopefully something will be able to be done.
