Unexplained Residual Files (Any Version)
When browsing different folders in Windows 11, I occasionally find some .XnViewSort files (see image). If these are files temporarily stored for sorting purposes, they should be deleted afterward. However, I have to search for them and delete them manually every time. I believe this is a bug and please fix it.

Re: Unexplained Residual Files (Any Version)
1)What's even stranger is that those folders had no custom sorting or settings in the past or recent, but in the Windows search (including hidden files) results (as shown in the image), it says those files don't exist at all (only displayed) and can't be deleted?
2)After copying a batch of PNG images in a recent folder, I converted them to JPGs, which generated a .XnViewSort file (which can be deleted), but sometimes when I do the same program in other folders, this file doesn't appear?
3)I've tried it, and the results (folder location) for Windows searching for .XnViewSort files are different every time, regardless of whether the MP program is open or not?
If users have to manually modify xnview.ini to enable/disable it, then that's clearly the problem.

Re: Unexplained Residual Files (Any Version)
if you rearrange files in a folder, .XnViewSort is created

Re: Unexplained Residual Files (Any Version)
After updating to v1.10.2, I tested .XnViewSort again and found the following:
1) This seems to be a problem with Windows 11 (possibly a bug), the search results don't match the actual files. [Resolved]
2) This issue hasn't occurred in the new version yet. [Under observation]
3) This issue has not reappeared. [Resolved]
I understand that rearranging files generates .XnViewSort files and displays them in a custom sort. However, the problem is that when I revert to a non-custom sort, the .XnViewSort files in the folder are not automatically deleted. Without my knowledge, the .XnViewSort files become obsolete files.
