The (now relatively) new functions in the Catalog Filter are awesome! Thanks for this!
I just notice that when I select a particular folder and set the Catalog Filter to "Current folder" or "Current folder (recursive), the Date node will only show dates in that particular folder. So, when I'm in my 2026 folder under these conditions the node only presents the year 2026 (and its months/days with images therein).
This is also the case for several other nodes at least (e.g. Properties>Maker only shows cameras used in that folder), but I have not explored this completely.
However, one that is left out is Categories. That node continues to show all categories (keywords) in the entire collection. It only shows counts for keywords that are really present in the particular folder, but all of the keywords remain displayed, whether they are used in the particular folder or not.
Would it be possible to make the Categories node function like the Date node does? I.e., hide categories not present in a specific folder (and its subfolders) when searching in it with the "Current folder" or "Current folder (recursive)" limiters active?
This of course should extend to all nodes and subnodes in the Catalog Filter, should there be others that are not functioning like "Date" does.
As always, thanks for your consideration and happy shooting to all.
Catalog filter: Reduce all nodes to only those used in a folder(s) when using "Current folder [(Recursive)]"

A searched both here and in Google and found nothing, but there it is!
Yes that's exactly what I was talking about and glad to know I'm not the only one.
