Frequent freezes/loading when browsing images and saving edits in XnView MP

My problem is that on my PC moving between images (using arrows) causes freezing/loading and also after I edit an image and I save it the pc freezes for a few seconds.
I tried to see if a similiar program like Irfanview caused similiar freezings but it doesn't at all, but I would still like to use XnviewMP.
I have the version 1.11.2 but the problem existed also on the previous version.

My PC is a Thinkpad T480 and here are the specifications:

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz (1.80 GHz)
RAM: 8,00 GB
GPU: Intel(R) I-JHD Graphics 620 (128 MB)
