Maintaining Zoom between images

Hi,
New user here, so apologies if this is a dumb question.
If I zoom in to 100% on an image, then I scroll right or left to the next image, I lose the zoom level.
My understanding, after watching a YouTube video that drew me to this app, was that if I went to the view tab in settings and set "Autozoom" to Last used, it would maintain that zoom level in the next image as I scrolled.
Is this incorrect? Am I missing another setting to get this done?
