Use Tabs or A/B modes for this. Tabs also works for more than 2 images.

Generally, I agree. But I think Similar Files Results could benefit from a more significant overhaul.

The Compare function is a much better place to compare files. It has the navigator, A/B mode, , synchronized panning, and histogram/clipping. And the Tabs mode allows instant switching between two images which is what the OP wants. Swapping images in that way is a good way to spot differences.

Really, I think Similar Files Results would be better if it were based on the Compare Files function. The functionality should be the same, but with the compare sets at the bottom.

There is already a lot of overlap between the two functions. The Similar dialog shows some metadata and has the compare sets at the bottom; the Compare tab lacks those, but has much more robust comparison capabilities. File management functions are basically the same.

Yes, please add that option to the similar image results. It would also be good to add a button so the user can simply click to perform the action.
