Allow finer mouse wheel in/out zoom steps

in my system (window 11) using the mouse wheel for zooming the images in or out causes a huge variation just with a single movement (and the mouse wheel preference in the system is already one line per time): for instance, a single wheel movement shifts from 100% to 200%, no way to zoom in the middle. would be great to have a sort of rescaling of the wheel value for making the wheel movement more accurate. Thanks.

How would you envisage that being implemented, there could be quite a number of possibilities?

Were you possibly thinking of something like a small floating element on the screen, on which the zoom level could be set using the mouse?

I doubt there is any need for programming changes here. It is already possible to change the zoom stepping. It sounds like you just have your settings in XnViewMP incorrect.

Why don't you try going to Tools->Settings:View and adjusting your "Zoom step" settings?

You probably have it set to something unreasonable. You could change it to Fixed Step: 10 and that would result in a slow and fine-stepped zoom.
