Option to show current image in browser after switching from viewer with double-click [Solved]

Post by m_seitzz »

I have XnView set up to open with the viewer when I double-click an image in my file explorer. This way, the image is big and I can scroll through other images in the same folder with the mouse wheel without XnView having to create thumbnails (I don't use a thumbnail database).

When I double click the image to switch to the browser, the first file in the respective folder gets selected.
Can I get XnView to switch to the browser with the current image being selected and shown in the preview?

The only related setting I found is "Interface > Select file in Browser when Viewer tab is closed". The problem with that setting is that there is no browser when "Start with file > Open > Viewer" is set. Closing an image either quits XnView or it remains open with "<empty>" when "Interface > Tabs > Closing last tab exits application" is disabled.

This is XnView MP v1.11.5 on Windows 10.

uncheck 'Auto-select first item on entering folder'
in Settings > File list
