I am also interested in this issue and I see the same problem as reported before. I'm on Windows 11, XnView MP 1.11.5.

I've put 3 files into Dropbox:
  • a DNG with internal JXL compression
a JPG showing that XnView is displaying the thumbnail correctly in the browser view
a JPG showing the purplish display in the single image view
https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/td7wqxcn ... jr36f&dl=0

Hope this helps! And thanks for creating XnView. I've been using it for many years.

I just tested 1.11.6, and I can confirm that the problem is fixed. Thank you!!

But I'll note that the link you posted (viewtopic.php?t=51261) has the wrong download files on it--they are still 1.11.5. This link (https://download.xnview.com/versions/XnView_MP) has the correct 1.11.6 version.

In my short tests it seems it might be fixed. The rendering does look different than on DNG 1.4 though but there is not anymore those very bad color tints.

Also compared to 1.4 version lens correction is different. Not sure which version has it and which version does not have it. I assume as rendering is maybe done with different SDKs (adobe vs. something else) so it is side effect. For me that is not urgent but its worth out thinking at some phase.

What disturbs me most though is that DNG 1.7 embedded preview (JXL) still does not seem to work but I will write that also to its own topic.
