I'm not saying this is a bug as I understand something must be necessary to enable the IPTC and XMP editting, I use this to tag my photos.
And like in Xnviewmp, Windows itself don't enable the tag editting for formats like JXL, AVIF and maybe some others.
So, is it still going to be IPTC and XMP for the new formats (that we can hope get supported), or are IPTC and XMP being replaced by something new in the works?

As far as I understood several information sources, JXL supports IPTC inside XMP. If that is correct, I would really like XnView MP to support this – especially keywords, rating and color label are heavily used by me to manage my image collection.
