In XnViewMP 1.11.5
1. Open an img.
2. type SHIFT+D to open the draw
3. select draw a line, now you have 4 options types, choose straight
4. now, we want to add to this line vertical marks as measurement, so we check the new option "ruler fraction" or "measurement ruler", see mockup img I tried
and we have 2 options either:
4.a/ we set the number of major divisor(N>1) btw line start & end,
say N=2, in such a case it would add N-1=1 major marks perpendicular to the line in N-1 equal steps from its starts to its end,
aka step length is x_line(end) - x_line(start) / divided by N
4.b/ the other option being; we mark a point btw start & end point of the line, and this will give the step length to repeat from start,
aka step lenght is x_mark - x_line(start)
In either case it would also put a mark to mark start & end points of the line.
5. one can add a minor marks dividing each major marks in 2..10 sub-marking.
Thanks
