1.10.5: "Select none" not working properly over shortcut

XnView: MP 1.10.5 - 64-bit
OS: Windows 7 - 64-bit

As shorcut is assigned for "Edit -> Select none" option, deselecting over shortcut may not work

Effect: Custom shortcut for "Select none" not working properly.

To reproduce:
1. Assign custom shortcut for "Select none". My prefered shortcut: Ctrl + D, which mimics Photoshop behaviour.
2. Open image in viewer mode (did not test other modes, perhaps it's same or even worse).
3. Click "Edit", observe as "Select none" is greyed out.
4. Select part of image with rectangular selection tool.
5. Try to deselect image using "Select none" custom shortcut. It does not work.
6. Click "Edit", observe as "Select none" suddenly changes from greyed out to normal.
7. Try to deselect image using "Select none" custom shortcut again. This time it works; looks like clicking "Edit" has changed some internal state

Expected behaviour: Custom shorcut for "Select none" should work properly, not arbitrarily
