v45 - conversion of pictures from hidding .thumbnail folder - conversion from submenu disabled

I set XnView to show hidden files.
Then I wanted to convert the JPEG files from the Picture/.thumbnails folder to another self created folder. In the "Device memory" section, I was able to view the images and select them all, but I couldn't convert them to another folder. The option wasn't available in the submenu.
Is there a specific reason why you can’t convert files from system folders?
