It's unfortunate, but I believe in you. Maybe you need to wait a while until a solution appears...

only avif? Which android version on the 2 devices? is it from gallery or 'device memory'?

This is a very interesting question. Everything is displayed correctly only when viewing the list of photos from "Folders" and "Device memory". The problems come from elsewhere and actually apply to HDR jxl as well. I usually go to the test folder from Bookmarks.
And on both of them I have Android 16 with realme UI overlay.

Perhaps i understand. When using gallery/albums, i ask Android for the thumbnail for the speed, and not in 'Device memory'.

Both of my phones in version 49 do not complain about bad appearance :D
