Post by Alain22 »

Hello

I am new to XNVIEW MP; I had heard of it by name but had never tried it, usually using Faststone Image Viewer instead.

I realized that XNVIEW MP is extremely powerful. I use it only for sorting and organizing, but I have disabled any writing of Tags or XMP.

However, reading XMP information really interests me. When you are on a photo, you can indeed view the XMP information. Using another software, I recognized the people in my photos, and I can indeed see their full names on each photo.

However, when you are at the start of a directory tree, it is not possible to view all photos of a certain "First Name Last Name" of one or more individuals. That would be really great and would ensure that the work done at this level by another software and/or XNVIEW MP is reliable.

Also, it would be a really nice feature in this software.

Thanks

Bonjour

Merci

Hello
Thanks, but it doesn't work. It does search through folder and file names, but it doesn't search in the XMP information or keywords either.
Maybe I didn't look in the right place, but I don't see where?
Thanks

Hello,
Sorry, I finally found it.
I had 18,000 photos for the person, so the software slows down a bit while searching, and the thumbnails take a while to show. Thanks
