XNView MP not displaying MP4 videos

I am trying to create a slideshow (.exe) file containing mixed .jpg images and .mp4 videos. However, when I execute the resulting .exe slideshow file, it shows the images OK but ignores the MP4 videos. Tried searching for the solution to this but no luck so far. Can anyone help me on this ? Thank you

I think I have solved my problem. I went and dug out an older version of XNView from a backup - V2.50.4 and this DOES play the .MP4 videos in my Slide Show !

MMMMmmmm, not resolved after all ! This is Ultra Weirdness - if I run the .exe slideshow from within Xnview after it is created, the videos DO play. However, if I then run the .exe slideshow OUTSIDE of Xnview, the videos are omitted.
