XnView: MP 1.12.2 (and probably since 1.12.0)
OS: Linux 64-bit TUXEDO-OS (Ubuntu-based)
Qt version 6.10.2
KDE framework version 6.24.0
KDE Plasma version 6.6.6
graphics: Wayland
Whenever a dialog box is shown, the Xnview window (except for the active dialog box) darkens: background, menus, icons and most importantly the mage(s) shown
Effect: Due to this, dialogs which want to modify the shown image such as rotate or colors-change ignore the option to apply the changes to the image while working within the dialog. While this is not important for dialogs such as SaveAs, it makes the color processing function next to unusable. How would you e.g. change an image's brightness, when the image itself is not shown it's actual brightness. See screentshot attached.
If I noticed it correctly, this behaviour has changed during the step from 1.11 to 1.12. QT 6 on Wayland maybe?
Best regards
Dietmar

Right you are, Pierre!
There's a system setting to darken the parent window of a dialog. Strange that I noticed it only in XnView. But hey, that's the only software which interacts with the parent window when needed.
Sorry to report it as a bug.
