Save all tabs in a group?
Hello!
Is it possible to save (and of course restore) all open tabs in a group?
I'm thinking of an analogical feature like the tabs in modern webbrowsers (Firefox, Opera, IE7, IE-based browsers as Slimbrowser, Crazy Browser, FineBrowser etc.) - they all can save and load all open tabs as a simple url list (in most of the cases merely in plain text) in order to open them next time or on demand.
With this feature the great xnview would become absolutely unique - because - as far as I know - there is really no(!!!!) other image viewing application on the market with this feature (I already tried out also the well-known image viewers, e.g. Acdsee, ThumbsPlus, the free IrfanView and many others more. They all seems not to have that special feature!).
I would be very glad to get an answer ...
Multiple Greetings from Nick

Hello!
Thank you for your very fast answer!
This feature is very usefull if you have huge image archives and want to show special predefined sets of them in a row for certain groups of users without moving them from the different directory locations into one folder. The images can stay where they are, but nevertheless you can restore these predefined image sets ... - It's only one example (should represent some others) ...
How would it work with the command line? I try to figure it out for myself, but maybe there are more xnview-users who want to know how this feature works.
But one problem with command line options might be, that it takes more time to create this lists than to drag'n'drop the images in xnview.
Or is it possible to create this 'batch command list' for all loaded images in tabs automatically?
Thanks in advance, Nick

Create a slide show.
I've already tried it, but that's not exactly what I want ...
XnView can display images for shortcuts. So you could create shortcuts (links) to the desired images using MS Explorer in a directory and browse it with XnView.
Great Idea! It works so far. Thank you very much!
One question left: Do you think that a 'Save as a group'-feature could be integrated in future versions of XnView?
Kind Greetings from Nick ...
how about an extension of the favorite-option.
you create a category "my greatest surf-photos".
every once in a while you find a pic matching this while browsing through your vacation-pix.
-> rightklick on the picture -> add to category "best surfpix"
clicking a category shows the thumbs collected with an option to copy/move these pictures to a new directory.
with option to open the whole category in thumbs.
