In the toolbar, there is a symbol for the JPG lossless operations. It's handy, and by clicking on the small arrow next to the toolbar button one gets access to all operations.
But for those people who use the operations a lot, it would be even handier to have individual toolbar buttons for each operation. I think at least "Rotate left", "Rotate right", and "Automatic EXIF rotation" should get their buttons.

icon LOSSLESS rotation right
Yes Yes Yes. I am thinking about leaving XnView because it has no simple way to lossless rotate JPEG.
Now, if I want to rotate manualy image, I have to click on icon
1. Lossless rotation
2. Right (or left)
3. Button START
If you have 100 new pics and 50% needs to be rotated, it sucks a lot! (and I do not thing I am only one)
I have few sugestion:
a) Make 1 (or 2) icon LOSSLESS rotation right (or + left) possible for toolbar
b) OR you have already icon Rotate ClockWise = this icon could be "inteligent": when it is JPEG, it should rotate lossless (=then you does not need to confirm - save changes? and after - overwrite?
c) It would be wonderfull to add this function (lossless rotate right) on middle button (eg. click on the wheel ... now it is full screen, but in option, you could change it lossless rotate right)
Thanks

Re: icon LOSSLESS rotation right
I like this one, or option "Always use lossless rotation for JPEG images", but you should start a new topic maybe.wind wrote:b) OR you have already icon Rotate ClockWise = this icon could be "inteligent": when it is JPEG, it should rotate lossless (=then you does not need to confirm - save changes? and after - overwrite?
BTW - there are also shortcuts - ctrl+shift+R/L.
I want to support the suggetions in this thread. I'm using XnView for a while now - for managing my photos. One of the most used functions (if not THE MOST) is rotating photos.
It's such a pity for your great software that there's right now no INDIVIDUAL symbol for each JPEG-LOSSLESS option (rotate clockwise, counterclockwise, EXIF-orientation).
In Browser mode I can use the standard-rotation symbols (cause I activated in options the "use lossless rotation for JPEGS").
But there's not such an intelligent option for Viewer-mode. If I'm using the standard-rotation symbols in Viewer mode, Xnwiew always asks me after such a rotion if I want to save the new picture (=LOSSY mode).
