<Filename Number> in batch convert doesn't work good - first number is used instead of last.
E.g. for files:
Terminator 3 001
Terminator 3 002
Terminator 3 003
Number 3 is used instead of 00X.
It should work the same as with option "Create new template when opening dialog".

I'm not sure if there should be an option to switch if the number should be extracted from left or from the right end of the filename. There are for sure both use-cases (think of "001_test_text_2006-01-14.txt" for example).
Perhaps a practical workaround would be renaming in two steps:
1) batch rename without template (replace "Terminator 3" with "Terminator")
2) batch rename with template using <file number> expression.

Right, but now it should be the same.FlorianH wrote:I'm not sure if there should be an option to switch if the number should be extracted from left or from the right end of the filename. There are for sure both use-cases (think of "001_test_text_2006-01-14.txt" for example).
There could be one button "Options" instead of "Duplicate" that would switch view to Options dialog with more options for Batch rename, like "Duplicate", option above and more in the future. These options are not often use so it would be the best solution IMO. The same option is on Batch convert dialog > Format > Options.
But, of course, not in 1.82.
