Hi,
I am evaluating editing imaging software and I am facing a problem with xnView.
We installed a DMS (Data management System) where we put pictures and information (mandatoy fields and so on) about those pictures. We mapped a network drive to our webdav DMS (let's say drive S: ). There is no problem in view mode. But when I try to change the file or rename an error occurs while trying to write the <imagename>.jp_ : Normal, the content repository does'nt alowed to save an image without some mandatory fields. So my question is : Is it possible to define the work directory where xnview store the <imagename>.jp_ ?
many thanx in advance for any answer

You use lossless rotation?Jumbo wrote:Hi,

Add Comment :
When I enlarge the image by clicking on it, when I use rotation from the "image" menu, this is ok.
Do you think it would be possible with lossless rotation ?
Re: Change work dir when xnview save <imagename>.jp_ d
Ok, but the problem is that lossless rotation works on original file!!Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Exact, isnt' the right way ?xnview wrote: You use lossless rotation?

Re: Change work dir when xnview save <imagename>.jp_ d
So if I understand, there is no way to fix my problem ? It is not possible to configure the directory where the backup file <filename>.jp_ is created ? It would be great (also for perf reasons) congiguring for exemple a local directory such as c:\temp; it would fix my problem and improve performance. dont'you think ?Jumbo wrote:xnview wrote:Anonymous wrote: Ok, but the problem is that lossless rotation works on original file!!
Re: Change work dir when xnview save <imagename>.jp_ d
So output file will be in c:/temp, and original not modified?Jumbo wrote:So if I understand, there is no way to fix my problem ? Re: Change work dir when xnview save <imagename>.jp_ d
I resolved my problem by configure this directory (S: in the DMS) without mandatory field and it is ok. Many thanks for your replies...xnview wrote:So output file will be in c:/temp, and original not modified?Jumbo wrote:So if I understand, there is no way to fix my problem ?
