Semi-Comfirmed, XnView doesn't crash however it struggles to create a thumbnail for this WMV.
Ahh, MPC could only play half (1:51 / 2:54) of this clip before sound cut out and then video, so it's corrupt clip nothing wrong with XnView.
I'm going to re-encode it to WMV3 with Windows Media Encoder 9 and see if the crash goes.
Success!
WME could only re-encode 1:53 mins of it but the resulting WMV3 file has no problems with creating a thumbnail in XnView but still won't play.

Keep in mind this is currently a known issue!

Yes, this file seems to have a problem, and xnview doesn't freeze, it take a long long time...Olive wrote:Copy the following file somewhere and browse the folder in thumbnail mode

chosts.cmd is a script file I wrote to copy my hosts file from one folder to another.
Yes, I know XnView shouldn't be using that file and is prolly a serious bug (but then again, how many WMV1 files do you have?)

That's why we need an adjustable movie-thumbnail-creation-timeout.
