REQ: Better Icon for JP2 images

Post by ckit »

Topic says it all.
I would like the icon for JP2 images to be more like JPG files.

Could you explain please? I have no icon for jpc/jp2 files (in explorer/file manager/xnview) and different (grey) background in xnview.

I suggest the same background (or similar) and same icon (or similar), just with JP2 / JPC text instead of JPG.

I'll try to create icon for JPC and JP2, don't know what is default ext. for JPEG 2000 files...

BTW - don't know why there is no icon for JP2/JPC files, default icon should be used - a bug? :?

Done - same color, font, style as current icons.

If you like it, I could send it to Pierre, maybe he could implement it to 1.82...

But we must use 'standard' colors' (more here).

Anyway, we could use another colors for other icons, but I think it's too late. Maybe not too late for icons above, Pierre must decide...

Any of those will do as long as different to JPG's current one but in the same style. I'd say "v2" looks the nicest.

But 16x16 v3 icon looks better, I think.

Anyway, I'm afraid that it's too late for 1.82.

Yes, I think you're right v3 does look better for 16x16.
That's OK, I'm sure the next version won't be too far away.

Good news - (at least) v1 icons should be added to 1.82, v3/2 or another probably in 1.83 (or it will be 1.85 or even 1.90 since some deluxe features will be added).

You could always just set the icons yourself, and thus use any icons you want. Just go into folder options->file types from within any windows folder, locate the JP2 one, then set it to any icon you like.

Just backrgound in browser not changed, but first we should choose version of icons, so v3?

Drahken - of course, but if you'd have to do that for 400 formats and maybe everytime you reinstall program / Windows...
