XnView 1.80.3/Win (Datetime: 06.09.2005 16:24:00; filesize: 1037312 bytes).
Mustek BearPaw 2400CU Plus USB Scanner via TWAIN
Windows 2000 SP4/rollup1 RUS
After clicking 'Scan...' button/menu item TWAIN driver window opens; then, after clicking 'scan' scanner starts; then, after scanning finished, XnView main windows closes, leaving TWAIN driver window open. Rebooting/repeating again gives the same result.
Photoshop and other TWAIN-supporting programs as well as XnView 1.60 (Datetime: 13.05.2003 08:43:52; filesize: 714240 bytes) work well.
What's the problem?

Scanning problem still exist in RC1 and RC2
I tried to remove the option "Add XnView as applications for USB
events (camera, scan, ...)". After reboot, I could scan images using 1.60 and 1.80.3! But, if I tried to scan too large images using TWAIN driver's built-in image preprocessing (an option called 'White background'), the scanning failed after scanning document. I think that this last failure was caused exclusively by TWAIN driver, because I have too little free space on a drive where TWAIN driver can create temporaries (less than 32M). But when I've unchecked that option, the scanning in 1.60 an 1.80.3 had no problems.
But there's one "but": neither RC1 nor any version of RC2 doesn't work; they fail immediately after starting acquire, even before TWAIN driver window appear.
So, one of the problems is resolved. Waiting for you to resolve others ;)

I'm always getting "Acquire returned false" when trying to scan something in XnView, but Photoshop CS2 and other software works fine.
