split/remove color channels (including alpha)

Post by SharkD »

I request a batch tool for splitting or removing a color channel (including alpha) from an image.
By splitting, I mean only saving the data from the specified channel in the output image.
By removing, I mean saving all channels except for the specified channel in the output image.

Thanks!

I wonder what purpose does it have. And if it has, what features could be added to make such functionality really complete.
