Search Error with HTML files!

Post by ckit »

1. Open XnView in Browser mode
2. Create "home.html" with Notepad.exe and save it anywhere!
3. Open XnView Options -> Browser -> Items displayed
4. Set Custom Files to None for all 4 boxes and make sure HTML and HTM are entered below.
5. Search "C:\" for "home*.*" with subdirectories.
6. Click View and you get "Format of the file <Home[1].html> could not be determined!"

Search is ignoring the "Items displayed" settings.
AMD Ryzen 3 3300X 3.8Ghz, 16Gb DDR4, RX6600XT with Dell U2520D at 2560x1440@60Hz scaling 125%

Yes, but is it a bug???? I think it's normal after a search, no?

Alright, if it's normal why doesn't the HTML file get shown in Browser mode? When you click "Browse" after a search XnView hides the HTML file like it should but if you click "View" it tries to view the HTML file?

I'm confused.

I'm confused also. Should it just look for everything? Or follow the filters?
