Create Web page: Image info in tooltips

Post by None »

I would first like to give thanks for such a great program. I'm using it a lot for my pictures web pages.

When i create web pages, i can add comments, etc. to the area just underneath the pictures. However, I would like to include additional picture info such as the camera aperture, speed, etc. used on the tooltips. I just read about the ALT="xxx" HTML tag and feel this would be easy to implement. The program would just need a few modifications to add fields to the tooltips.

Keep up the good work Gougelet.

For all I know the tooltips for images in web pages which can be specified by 'ALT="<some text>"' are intended for handicapped people. So the tooltip should contain a description of the image or other information valuable for the handicapped person. But in reality, often no tooltip is specified or a useless description is given.
In my opinion, XnView should not misuse the ALT tag. Perhaps XnView could provide the possibility to specify a tooltipp (a user defined text including the standard fields for image and camera information) and each XnView user should decide him/herself.

There's more issues with the Web page created by XnView:
The template for the web page should be much more flexible and changeable, the template should support/use CSS, have a better layout (centered texts, shadow).
