Batch change of File Attributes

Post by Guest »

Is there a way to change file attributes (like "archive", "read only") for a selection of multiple files?
When I do it I have to confirm it for every single selected file.

Thanks for any hints.

Background:
I have some 10.000 pictures in a quite well organized folder structure and Photo Shop Elements (PSE) as Managing Tool. If I search in PSE for pictures and copy it to a new location I loose all Folder Structure.
My idea is to use a IPTC search in XnView to change the archive flag. In the next step I can use the Xcopy-Command to copy all pictures to a new location which have the archive flag set. Xcopy can recreate the folder structure.

- Not in XnView, AFAIK… This is possible i.e. in Total Commander; this' a job for a file-manager…

 Kind regards
