Reading DDS Cubemap/... files?
I just wanted to know if you're planning to implement DDS cubemap / volume texture / mipmap support now as I've sent you some example files, or if you decided that this would cause too heavy changes for XnView. Thanks.
I would like this as well. Would be a great feature for all real-time 3d developers (games et. al.).
It would be helpful if cubemaps were viewable as a spherical projection (ala QTVR), but if that isn't possible the next best thing in my opinion would be to display them as a 6x wide image showing all six images side-by-side (+X, -X, +Y, -Y, +Z, -Z).
Also for volume maps it would be great to show them as spinnable 3d volumes but that is probably asking too much. As an alternative it would be nice if XNView could allow the user to page through the slices, top slice to bottom slice, via keypresses.
About mips, it would be nice to have an keyboard shortcut option to show them. It isn't often I need to check the mips, mostly the highest mip is what is needed in view. But it would be nice to have. If showing mips, maybe follow Nvidia's DDS Photoshop plugin method when they load images? (highest mip to lowest mip in a left-to-right horizontal row)

Thanks for listening. I can also provide DDS samples if it would help.
