Display Colour Information - alpha values?

It would be helpful if the feature View... Display Color Information would display alpha color as well as RGB.

It would also be nice to be able to change the eyedropper cursor into a crosshair (a floating pixel in the center of an open plus symbol would be the best, since the open plus would allow a better view of the pixel's position). Maybe the Caps Lock key, like Photoshop's precision cursor hotkey?
