CAM file extension

Post by grannyel »

I have 3 floppy disks with pictures from a Casio camera with .cam file extensions. XnView says it handles them, but it only shows 2 out of all three disks. I have Win XP sp2. These pictures were just found and we're trying to get all the old ones cleaned up and saved to DVD. Any help would be much appreciated. :D
Thanks,

Could you send me some samples, please?

Pierre, thanks so much for replying! In the meantime as we were going through some old, old,old 3 1/2's, we found the QV-PC program for Windows that came with the camera and so I was able to open the pictures and save them as .gif files. :D
Thanks again.
px, if you still want some of the pictures to play with, I'll be glad to send them to you, just let me know.

It will be tomorrow or the next day before I will be able to use the computer with the floppy drive to copy the pictures. This one doesn't have a floppy drive.
Where (how) should I send it? (Sorry, I'm new to forums and don't see where your e-mail is.)

Could either of you help me please? I have some very old pics as well and can seem to open them to convert from .cam to jpg. These are very old and have since lost the original software. Please let me know what I can do to help or send me in the right direction.

Don't know if Pierre has been able to unlock them with xnview yet or not. I lucked out and found the old program from the camera. Pictures aren't really good, but they're the only ones we had, so we'll take anything!
Good luck!
