Apply a palette using a script

Post by Roo »

Hi.

First can I say what an excellent piece of software XnView is. But everyone already knows that!

I'm interested in whether there is a way to apply a saved colormap/palette using a script. For instance, if I have created a custom palette, how could I automatically apply it to a few hundred images?

Thanks for any help you can give,
Roo.

Currently it is not possible to change the palette in batch convert...
You would like to remap a 256 colors picture?
Pierre.

Hi Pierre. Thank you for your quick reply.

I have a lot of 256 colour geographic map tiles. Some of the information on the maps is of no interest to me, so by editing the palette I am able to make the information disappear.

Thanks,
Roo.
