same image different IPTC-keywords: howto merge

Hi,

tagging images is a lot of work and I'd love to spread it.
I'd love to give copies of my files to my friends for them to tag for example those files with their name which they are on.
When getting them back I'm searching for an automatic way to merge the different keywords in the photos.
Is XnView able to do something like that?
Might it even detect similar image data in case the filename was changed? Or similar content in case the file was resized?(okay that'll be hard.)
