Viewer shows TIF as negative

Post by malungu »

Hi,

usually I have no problem viewing TIF faxes in XnView 1.70.4, but there is one TIF file that XnView displays as white on black, while the Windows graphics and fax viewer and Irfanview display it correctly, i.e. black on white. This file uses "LZW" compression, while the others use "CCITT Group 4" compression. I suppose that this is the reason. I have no clue about these compression standards, but does XnView have a known problem with LZW compression?

TIA,
malungu

I suggest that you send a sample TIF file to Pierre with a reference to this post and/or a small description in the mail.
