I would use it... Essentially that is Layout #4 with the thumbs on the bottom.

How about allow drag and drop of diferent layout items?

I miss it since I have changed from ACD*** 2.x to xnview, some reasons are also on that topic... I think it would be useful, not only for me, of course if not too hard to implement.
