Slideshow exe-problem: Orientation of images

Post by chigma »

When I make an exe-file from a slideshow there is a problem with pictures in upright position. In the exe-slideshow they were shown 90° rotated, but if I make a "normal" slideshow they were shown in the upright position.
Does anybody know, what I have to do?

What is the reason? Isn't there a workaround?

I guess the reason is that XnView slideshow supports automatic EXIF rotation, where as the EXE slide show doesn't. FAQ "How to rotate images automatically" might help to understand better.
If this is the reason, the solution would be to apply JPG rotation once (permanent rotation) to the images before creating the EXE slide show.
