greyscale and resizing equals an empty saved image

Windows ME and XnView 1.70.4 standard installer.

Take any image and convert it to any variation of greyscale, then resize the image, and no matter what file type you save it as the image comes up black. It'll save the image dimension but nothing else. On the bottom bar it shows as "0 grey scale".

Right, after following your steps (converting to grey, then resizing), the image is just pitch black. Must be a bug. :bugconfirmed:

You can open a greyscale image saved from the web, for instance, and the resizing creates the same problem. So it appears that maybe XnView converting to greyscale isn't the problem, only resizing one.
