Save Sessions

Hey there,

Just a quickie: It'd be incredibly great if XnView would, like Opera or Total Commander, etc., save out the tabs that I had opened, so that when I close XnView and reopen it, all the Tabs are still here. It's just too much if you've like 20 tabs opened and have to reopen all of them by hand again, one after the other. Even worse if those images came from different directories, etc.

So that's definitely a big one.

Another thing would be: It'd be damn useful being able to move the tabs around - so that you could put tabs of one project close to one another, that'd make it much easier to search through tabs if you've got plenty images opened at a time. If you guys used the TabMixPlus extension for Firefox, then you'll know what I mean. You could just move tabs, reorganize them - that'd make a lot of sense.

Also, I don't know if you guys know Maya, but it has a shader editor called the hypershade - what it does is, it's actually a table where all your shaders and shading networks are put, you can zoom in/out, pan around and everything is really nicely managed.

So that could also be applied to XnView - it'd be nice if we'd have an 'Show all tabs' Tab, where all the images are organized, in rows, so we could just move over our tab collection and zoom into the ones that interest us the most, without constantly switching tabs - because all the imageData is present in one tab and looking at another image would be as easy as RMB click-dragging, so I could pan through the whole collection, instead of constantly searching for the correct tab.

Honestly, during some projects, I've 20-30 tabs opened at a time and it's still a pain to look through stuff that way in XnView or any other image browser. So that 'Show all tabs' Tab would make things a lot easier, since it'd just give me one huge tab where all the imageData is stored.

If you guys want, I could do a desktop recording of how things are managed in the hypershade later on - I'm not sure if it sounds terribly useful if you're not used to it, but the benefit would just be that we would've everything stored in one place, instead of managed in tabs, which can take a lot of time to scrub through.
