Paletted pictures (gif, 8b png) display problem

Post by PoV »

I have a problem with 1.70.4 with 8 bits pictures display, on 2 comps, both w2k with nvidia display. Some 8 bits picture get a palette from outer-space, so colors are strange, the problem is "solved" if I zoom in or out (in good quality mode, but not in draft quality). I guess the problem is to draw a 8bit DIB on screen. The strange thing is if I change the state (in whatever direction) of the "display alpha if <= 8 bit" the current picture is then displayed correctly, but the problem reappear as soon as I hit space to go to the next picture. I can make a screenshot if my explanation isn't clear enough.

Another problem I'm still experiencing which started at least in 1.68 (as far as I remeber) is the "fit to desktop, big pic only", pictures aren't shrinked if too big, but as soon as I start resizing the window, the display is refreshed and the correct size version is shown. I saw this morning after changing my dual screen mode that with two independent screen I don't experience this kind of thing, so maybe the cause was my screen was too wide, or this function doesn't work very well if the screen ratio isn't 4:3
